I look forward to these every Christmas, I've tried different brands, and different packaging, but they were either gross, or so hard, you cannot even chew them, I bought the Leaf brand allsorts tower, they are soft/chewy, and flavourful, so, I had no choice, I returned and bought 5 more boxes 🫣......by far, the best!
I’ve been buying these every year for my husband. His favourite to have at Christmas. He opened the box immediately popped one in his mouth. Then spit it out. He said the candy part tasted like rubber. I’m not a fan of the black part so I tried the candy part. He was right. How disappointing that it’s gotten this bad.
Leaf brand is my favourite brand of all sorts. Not as good as what I used to buy at the (now gone) candy shop, but close. I am disappointed that the box used to be a full 1 KG. It went down to 800 g a few years ago and is now only 700 g. The box size hasn't changed though - you just get less.
The original licorice allsorts were awesome, but now, anyone can produce these and people think they are just like the originals. But they are not. This particular brand (Leaf), does major disservice to the allsorts legacy. We opened a fresh bag of these only to find the flavors, textures and tastes were around disappointing. Actually, inedible. Please someone tell me who makes these the way they used to.
Funny how in the whole box, only 3 out of 2 bags are the blue candy. The box shows multiple. So you cheap out on the best candies. False advertisement if i ever seen it. Been buying this for years. And same thing. I will no longer support this company. Total rip off and cheap on your part.
