Waterbridge Marks Canada 150 With Contest, Sweet Prizes & Limited Edition Art

Canadian Confectionary Company pays homage to nation, prizing unique Ken Dewar illustrations

Toronto, ON. - July 28, 2017 – Waterbridge celebrated Canada’s 150th birthday by hosting two contests with many sweet prizes to be won. Between the months of May and June, Canadian residents (excluding QC) had the opportunity to enter a Canada 150 Grand Prize Contest hosted on their Facebook page. The eight Grand Prize winners are: Elizabeth Vlug, Lily Ngo Tabb, Joyceln Teno, Frances Lennie, Christine Da Silva, Amanda Masters, Heather Howard, Bianca Cirinna.

The Grand Prize gift boxes contained a selection of various Waterbridge sweets and chocolates in addition to one canvas print of paintings created by Canadian award-winning artist, Ken Dewar, from Calgary, Alberta. Dewar has won many awards for illustrations in the design and print categories across the country.

The eight paintings were commissioned by Brian Hicks, Managing Director of Premier Brands located in Pickering, Ontario, “Waterbridge is proudly Canadian, and our business features a range of products inspired by this nation and its diversity. We wanted to pay homage to Canada during its 150th birthday. So we decided to do something unique that reflected our premium brand, craftsmanship and passion by selecting Ken Dewar to illustrate eight Canadian iconic symbols and landscapes.”

The Grand Prize gift boxes were awarded to eight individuals who submitted an image or video with a comment explaining why they enjoy their favorite Waterbridge products.
