Mint Candy Three Different Ways

MINT CANDY THREE DIFFERENT WAYS

By Waterbridge - January 22, 2020

Mint candy is such an underrated treat. Not only is it delicious, but it comes in tons of different flavours from peppermint and spearmint to buttery caramel mints and mint toffee! On top of that, it also keeps your breath minty fresh. We’ve come up with a few unique treats you can add your favourite mints to, to spice it up!

Add Crushed Mint Candy to Your Ice Cream!

This is a fantastic trick to add a bit more flavour and crunch to your favourite treat! For a healthier option, you can add your crushed mint candy to frozen yoghurt or to a blended banana treat. To create frozen banana ice cream, simply blend the frozen bananas, adding no more than ¼ cups of almond milk if needed! You can experiment by adding different extracts and flavourings as well. What about mint, chocolate and banana?!

Classic Crushed Mint Candy Peppermint Bark!

This recipe is so simple it only involves a few minutes and a handful of steps! You can use dark, milk, white or a combination of all three chocolates in your bark. Simply repeat the below steps each time you want to add a new layer or mix them as you go to create a marbled effect!

  1. Sprinkle your crushed mint candy pieces somewhat evenly across a parchment or wax paper covered pan.
  2. Pour melted chocolate over the crushed mint candy pieces, then sprinkle more of the pieces on top.
  3. Place the pan into the fridge and allow it to harden for 30 minutes. Once hard, break the bark into pieces and serve!

Mint Candy Cupcake Topping!

Finally, you can add your crushed mint candy pieces to cupcakes as a sprinkle substitute! It adds a ton of flavour and allows you to get creative. How about a mint chocolate banana cupcake? Mint chocolate and strawberry perhaps? Mint is a strong flavour, so exploring different combinations can lead to some seriously delicious treats!
